Hello. My name is Richard and I am the founder of eXtra Phone Point.

Here is how it all came about.

I was born in England and moved to Australia with my wife in 1985 after college. Initially I worked in Sydney installing PABX telephone systems for major companies like Ansett Airlines, Optus, and chain hotels such as Mariott.

The business grew to where we were licensed for the installation of Optus Mobile tower transceivers. We then moved to the mining and oil industry and specialised in the installation of various types of monitoring antenna and communications equipment.

One of my favourite installations was on the Moomba oil fields in the South Australian desert. This is certainly a beautiful country.

eXtra Phone Point has beenthe telecommunications advisor for many big companies and government organisations. In 2003 we had the business brand redesigned with the now famous pink “X”.
